Introduction

Gaja Youth Club is a Civil Society Organization (CSO) established in 1994 (2050 BS) and registered in District Administration Office, Baglung. The main objective during establishment of GYC was to create well-cultured, civilized and well governed society. It also aimed of eradicating backwardness, promoting social justice, poverty alleviation, and eradication of illiteracy and promoting meaningful participation of local people in development activities.
In the changing context, GYC felt need of strategic plan to contribute for social change as well as to develop the organization as a leading NGO in the region. As a result, GYC had developed its strategic plan 2008/09-2014/15.
At present, the social, economic and cultural context is changed. The nation is in the crucial mode of social transformation. Civil society organizations, like GYC, need to play vital role for social transformation through identification and utilization of local resources, mass mobilization, social campaigns and cultural development....
