GYC was established in 2050 VS (1994) at Lekhani Village Development Committee (VDC) of Baglung District. It paid attention to implement different social activities and development interventions in Lekhani and surrounding VDCs. In the beginning, it had aim of mobilizing local resources for social reformation. Renovation of local road, amalgamating local youths in sports for their physical and mental growth, and collection of relief fund for natural disaster affected persons were the major objectives of this period.  

Plantation on public land, distribution of fruit saplings to the community members for accustoming them in income generation through agriculture, and improve health situation; and celebrate different feast and festivals were the regular activities to be carried by GYC on its initial phases. GYC has organized picnic program on 2054 VS to verbalize feeling of unity and integrity in the community.

Because of the lack of regular backstopping supporter for the regular activities, GYC has to be dependent on volunteerism and regular support of community members. There was a compulsion of joining hands with GYC for accomplishing the planned activities. In this phase, GYC has marked Deusi Bhailo as the medium of fund collection and conservation of cultural traits.

Although there were limited founders of the club, Village Development Committee (VDC) has joined hands with GYC for running the set program activities.

It is the matter of glory that GYC has appointed two full-time staff members for the first time to run its regular activities. It has appointed accountant and office assistant to support in organizational development. In the same year, GYC has been affiliated with NGO federation and NGOCC Baglung.

Although organization could not extend its programs horizontally and vertically so far during this period, it became lucrative to build partnership with Save the Children UK for child education. It is the first partnership with this level of financing partner.
