Gaja Youth Club

Gaja Youth Club (GYC) is an NGO working in the field of social for around two decades after registration in District Administration Office in 1994. The organization began its journey from a village called Lekhani on the lap of GAJA, a beautiful hill at the top of the Village. Since then, it has been striding forward with ever increasing scope and focus. The organization was formed as a self-help group and remains the same for betterment of socially disadvantaged section of the society. Today, it is run by 56 staff members with central office in Baglung and three Regional Offices in Beni Myagdi, Kushma Parvat and Burtibang Baglung.

The organization envisions a cultured, civilized and well-governed society with holistic development. This is possible through socio-economic transformation of target groups. So, it has applied awareness raising, education and utilization of locally available resources to leave a lasting impact upon the lives of its target group.

The organization has implemented various projects successfully in close collaboration with government agencies, I/NGOs and various bilateral agencies. It has been accepted as a reliable partner of development capable of delivery. The organization has developed expertise in the field of disability, education, rights-based programming and need-based small infrastructure development. It has been recognized for its service to the community.

1.   Empower target group through social mobilization including technical and financial support to increase access and quality of services

2.   Increase income of target groups through self employment generation, accessibility to resources and market linkages in order to secure improved livelihood.

3.   Support strengthening inclusiveness; ensure human right, peace and rehabilitation through rights-based intervention and mobilization.
